KEEP GLORIA ON 12TH!
Tell Midwood To GTFO of Philly!

On the morning of December 23, Midwood painted over the mural with no warning to the community. THEY HAVE LITERALLY WHITEWASHED QUEER LATINX HISTORY.
Gloria Casarez Mural and Henry Minton House are set for demolition by a NYC developer, Midwood Investment & Development. Camac Baths, the only property associated with LGBTQ history listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, is at risk of demolition by neglect. We need you to take action today!

Henry Minton House
“From the colonial era to the Civil War, Philadelphia was a center of organized resistance to slavery. The city was home to leading Black abolitionists including Henry Minton (1811-1883). But this history is largely absent from the properties listed on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places. Last year the nomination to the register of Minton’s home and place of business was rejected.”

Midwood will soon demolish this treasured & historic home. Join our fight to stop them now!

What Philadelphians Say
History matters. Don’t tear down the the mural or the Henry Minton house.
Rob Roy, change.org
This is how gentrifiers disrespect communities. Your development will mean nothing to Philadelphia’s history, but Gloria will always be remembered!
